Adding an addon domain to a cPanel account

Authors list

Micron21 website hosting plans provide you the ability to create addon domains on your account.

Addon domains allow you to host several different websites at once, all under the same cPanel hosting account. This allows you to save money as you don't need to purchase multiple hosting accounts if you need to host multiple websites.

The following guide will walk you through the steps needed to create an addon domain through your cPanel account.

Method:

  1. Under the "Domains" header, select "Domains".

  2. Click on "Create A New Domain" and then enter your additional domain in the "Domain" field.

  3. By default, cPanel will point this domain to your main website directory (public_html). You can untick the "Share document root" box and specify a new folder if you want to use this domain as a separate website. This will default to a folder with the same name as your addon domain.

  4. Click on the blue "Submit" button to finalise your addon domain.
