Managing cPanel DNS in WHM

Authors list

Overview:

As a WHM reseller, you can manage all domain names within your cPanel hosting services from one place, which can save you time when updating multiple users' DNS records.  It also allows you to see subdomains and addon domains within cPanel services and make changes to their configurations.

Method:

  1. Log into your WHM reseller hosting account.

  2. Navigate to the "DNS Zone Manager" tool, located in the "DNS Functions" category.

  3. Locate the domain name you want to make changes to.  Using the "Filter by domain" search bar can help when you have a large number of domain names.

  4. Select "Manage" on the domain you would like to add a new DNS record to.

  5. Select "+ Add Record".  This will add a new line for you to add a record of your choosing.

  6. Select the record type from the drop-down list and complete it as per your provider's instruction.

  7. Select "Save Record" to add the new record.

You can also Edit or Remove existing records using the "Edit" or "Remove" options in the "DNS Zone Manager".
